Black Crow

This used to be a thing on the old forum, but then again, this ain't that.

Black Crow is the name for Auth's (and the vi Rauco's family in general) alter ego for dealing with the lower world: assassins, thieves, black market dealers, and so on. This persona has been around for ages, making the general appearance of Black Crow to be a known urban myth in Krolva, due to how little he actually does show himself. As such, most people raised in Krolva will know of Black Crow and of the fact he is a 'high up' of some kind, entitled to dealing with all sorts of leaders with whom normal grunts wouldn't be allowed to interact with. (other common parts of the myth, especially during years of less direct appearances, are: the belief he's immortal, as his attire has not changes among all the years; the belief he's actually half man, half crow, likely a consequence of the plague doctor style mask; the belief he can talk to the rats and crows in Krolva, and thus knows everything said in the district; and the belief he's actually the guardian spirit of the Black Market, and the reason why the MP never raided it)

The appearance of the Black Crow is a disguise applied to whichever member of the vi Rauco family is wearing it, consisting of a black leather armour (filled to the brim with concealed sheaths for various daggers of various sizes), a large cloak with a tattered-looking exterior (and yet more daggers on the interior) and a plague doctor styled mask, plated with metal, with its beak making the voice of whomever talks distort beyond recognition.

The personality of the Black Crow is generally not something that comes into discussion, as the Crow only appears when in need of something. Its methods of dialogue are very direct, saying precisely what the demand is and allowing no detour of the conversation. At the same time, though, the Crow always does pay for whatever goods or services is wishes to acquire, and does not expect 'status' to be a good argument in the favour of anything.
