You think you can win? (Closed RP Syvyne)

Today was going to be the start of something new since their run in recently they wanted to come up with an activity to come together and do. The only thing they could come up with was sparing, it was guaranteed to reak of nostalgia something he doesn't get often. The best thing about this is that it would likely inspire the new Soldiers to do the same. Since he knew he was going to be off duty, he decided to go out of uniform. He came out with the outfit that resembled what he had before he enlisted, he wore baggy sweat Pants and a dress shirt that was the closest thing to plaid. He made a note about things to introduce later as they would meet more, he wanted to make things interesting to ensure that it would keep happening. People in their regiment slowly started to thin out over time, they were some of the lucky few to make it. He had to make sure that those close to him are there, and that they knew that he was there for them too.

It took some time because of him writing more into his Journal while he was walking, he wanted to be able to get his thoughts in, he began to write ideas that he had on it. Maybe they could find a way to implement ODM gear and use that, for sparing and pursuing it would be a great use of an exercise and make them both better for it. He started to close in on the area that they agreed on, it was a nice cleared open space that could easily hold the most intense of battles. He took the time he was ahead of Sevyne to strategize and center himself a bit, ensuring he doesn't go in half cocked and not being able to follow through. He started to stretch a bit to make things go a little smoother on his end, he tried to recall previous sparring matches to think of openings he could have seen to his joy and dismay she only got better through time. She was definitely a formidable opponent one that he took great joy in knowing and going to spar with.

Sparring, one of Sevyne's favorite ways to pass spare time. However, unlike normal days where she would spar with a fellow garrison member or one of her squad mates, today she was going be sparring against an old rival of hers. Well, constant rival is a more fitting term as even now they constantly try to outdo each other. Of course they hadn't actually sparred since their training camp days, back in those days he used to actually win a fair amount of the time, not to say he was unbeatable, just at the time he was a little better than her. Of course she'd never admit that openly, but in her heart she knew it was true. She was much stronger now though, and while she didn't know much about how Scitis had improved, she was pretty confident in her ability to win.  Of course any attempt of trying to mask her excitement was void as soon as she came near the designated area, shown by her large smile.

Today she was dressed rather casually blue jeans and a red tank top with a black undershirt, and while she could've just gone simple and worn a garrison uniform,but she preferred people knew that she was off duty for the day. When she got to the sparring area she gave it an appreciative glance, happy at how open it was, after all the more room she had to beat the tar out of him, the better. Looking over at Scitis she smiled in a feral way, giving him a full toothy grin whilst popping her neck, and cracking her knuckles. "I Hope you're ready Scitis, I don't plan on holding anything back, and you shouldn't either. Or else"  Her eyes would then narrow and her mouth would return to it's natural frown. "You'll lose"

As he was in mid stretched he heard his Rival and smiled, his eyes glimmered with the past of their fights. Very few times he ever had a look of pure inspiration and drive. One of the few times has he had the face he wore during recruitment, but this felt like the resurrection of a ghost. He held a smirk as he let out a cocky chuckle hearing what she said, he knew that this was going to be very different then when they fought before. He also observed that her stance something he picked up since his role is mainly anti-personnel. He got in a stance that he partially developed it was a more adapted version than that of their training before. He put his right fist up just under his cheekbone, then left his hand open and held it horizontal to his fist. He kept his feet apart shoulder length and slightly lowered himself to the floor, keeping his center of balance under control every step of the way.

"Well, you might have to worry about yourself. Like in training, all you need to do is worry about your own decisions and let the threats be with the professionals." Scitis smiled as he would make the first move letting her know that they were in this for sparring not for talking, he made a quick step forward. He used the momentum to push her back slightly bringing her off balance, he then would lower his body and put his weight on his Hands and swing his body around to trip her. He would quickly bring himself to stand as he got into a defensive position and tried to observe the situation.

Sevyne simply nodded at his words, figuring that is she was going to plant his ass in the dirt she was going to have to focus. She took note of his stance, and simply raised her eyebrow in response. It looked similar to the standard training stance..but kinda different in a way as well. She simply rolled her shoulders in response, she had time to show him fancy stances later-right now she wanted to see how far he had progressed. In her younger day, she probably would've just charged in haphazardly, but she knew Scitis had grown, and she needed to make sure she had as well. Charging in without analyzing your opponent was a quick way to get killed on the battlefield, and she was treating this just like that. A battle.

Seeing him charge in for an obvious attempt at a push, she let him purposely land the blow, making herself go back a little further than he had probably intended  while still keeping her balance as she saw him go down, she knew he was going for his combo on autopilot an automatic combination of two moves. She didn't even let him go for the sweep sticking out her foot in an attempt to plant the underside of her boot directly in his face, he was going to have to be a little more crafty with his moves or else he had no chance of winning this fight. She opted not to comment, they were fighting know, if they needed to speak they would do it through blows.

Scitis felt his Face get kicked as he wanted to test an old tactic that would take out a rookie, he made a mental note as he continued his assault. He used the momentum of the Kick to kick her other leg which she had open, he took the rest of his weight and threw it into the Kick. Which at that close of range would have thrown her off balance or would have her on the Floor, he took the time she would have to recover to boost himself up to his feet and throw himself back. He rose to his feet and smiled at her, it was the kind that would unsettle anyone he was fighting. He trained himself in anti-personnel combat, he kept her in mind the entire way. His new position had him prepare anyone in power studied and he would be prepared for situations in controlled areas.

He took care in letting himself be closer to her, making sure there was a blind spot that would tempt her to try to advance. He wanted to make sure he wasn't the only aggressive combatant, he needed to assess her ability to attack him out of curiosity. If she was good at countering he hoped that she also practiced her ability to actually attack her opponent. He assumed the original stance he had, he gave an intense look to bait her just that little bit more. He almost required her to make a move to continue his assessment.
