The Grand Plot-Importing Thread Empty The Grand Plot-Importing Thread

Post by Herdir 3/4/2017, 16:31

This thread is really dedicated to taking a collective decision about how exactly we'll go about importing the rp back from the old forum. (For easy access & reference: http://attackontitan.forumpro.eu/ )

At this stage of things, the way I see it is: we should go on by assuming all threads we were rp-ing in have concluded. For example, Auth's last thread back there was Of Death, so we'll assume Adar has been killed during it, and everyone else involved should make their own decisions as to how exactly the things have concluded from them.

Upon compiling a satisfactory encompassing of the aforementioned things, it'll be written off in the Official Plot and thus made set in stone.

I think that concluding all unfinished stories from the old forum is a wonderful idea. However, I also think that we should write in an organized the manner the details of said conclusion.
For example, regarding Of Death - how did Adar die? What happened to the titans who were present that day? What about all the people involved, civillian, military, and Hydragium alike? Are there any major effects on society now that the house of vi Rauco has literally fallen?
Such an analasys should more or less be required for any loose ends.
I think we should begin by seeing what major open threads our characters have. If there are threads in which multiple people were part of, together they will decide how it played out.
Alan's open threads consist of Of Death, Of Inmates and Inventions, and My Hands Are Golden, My Heart Is Cold.

You are, of course, 100% correct. We indeed should make it as organized as we can.

I think the way to take those decisions should be as follows: Everyone writes all of their ongoing (or generally unfinished) threads, as well as what the end of those was from their character's perspective. Upon two or more people having the same thread, they'll be mixed together, and any contradictions will be discussed out. Sounds fair?

Then:

After taking a long look at all of Auth's open threads, I think Of Death is the only one, actually. So:

Of Death (Auth's perspective + general ending bits):

1. Adar vi Rauco died, killed off in the battle between the two shifters. If Nerd will agree to that, the Red Titan fled the combat eventually, under the pressure of both Hydrargyrum and the Spined Titan at the same time, especially as he had gotten his goal.

On the other hand, Adar would have probably died anyway, as he hints at it in his last words to Auth, and that Sangwa, Adar's wife and Auth's mother, would know what exactly the matter was. That may be eventually explained in RP over here.

2. As mentioned before, I think the most consistent end for the Red Titan vs Spined Titan would be both of them to get severely weakened by the fight (maybe Red Titan struck the Spined into a position where he could allow himself time to flee, but not to continue the fight?).
That being said, this is Nerd's decision. I'm completely okay with the choice of Big Red winning the fight as well, then just leaving. It'd be a problem to explain how all of the OTHER people around survived though (unless he just left them all be).

3. About Hydrargyrum, a lot of them died alongisde Adar. Around ten of them survived (out of 35 initially), most notably Peren, the ex-vice-captain. I will also be sure to detail their history a bit in my character sheet.

4. Major effects on society can't really happen just yet, as I plan to begin rp-ing on this forum something like 2-3 days after the fall. Even then, it mostly it just a momentary chaos due to the loss of so many officials, and much less due to the fall of the vi Rauco house.

The reason for that is that the vi Rauco house only literally fell (and even then not fully; it's just severely damaged, but not unrepairable in time). The power they'd hold wasn't shaken more than it was every time a Rauco died in the past, with people expecting Auth to take his father's place in the discreet politics of everything that is happening.

Also, people are probably a lot more scared of titan shifters now, given the vi Rauco house it literally just outside Sina.

I think that sums it all up. As mentioned before, everyone else involved should also give their view on the matter, and we can work out disagreements if that happens.

I don't really have too much to say on this as I did not roleplay too much before the of Death topic (school and stuff).

I am not familiar with what exactly happened either, to make it easier I won't let Cora know that either. She just was with the 'pack' then, coordinating them around.

What I would want for my character is them (as in more mercenaries) getting employed by the military (about what they get from it...we can discuss this IC)

The Grand Plot-Importing Thread Empty Re: The Grand Plot-Importing Thread

So far, I tend to agree with everything posted. Here are my two cents on threads that Alan was a part of that haven't concluded properly:

Of Death-
1-Alan and Mitsuo were constructing a gas-powered super-crossbow when the old forum died. The way I see it, during the fight of the two titans, they would have fired it at Big Red and light therope attached to the arrow on fire, so it would be obvious to anyone looking where the shot came from, including the titan. Alan hoped to trick the titan into thinking he was Adar, but the titan, who was more concerned with the ongoing attack against him, simply ignored Alan and kept fighting.
Before Alan could think of something else to do, the titan would find the real Adar and kill him in combat. (Nerd, Mitsuo and Herdir, please confirm)

2-If nerd agrees, it makes sense to me that the titan will flee the scene upon defeating Adar. He completed his mission, and did not want to further risk himself or cause any more inoccent deaths. (Nerd, please confirm)

3-Alan's overall experience was traumatizing. It was his first true encounter with a battle, not to mention the first time he has ever seen a titan personally. He is currently still recovering from injuries and will have a small scar appear on top of his ear, where he was shot. He would barely be able to attend Adar's funeral, but would do so out of respect for the man.

4-Alan's actions during the attack, his work with the Hydragium, and the newfound lack of many higher-ups in the Military Police, will lead them to seriously consider promoting Alan, despite him not being able to save Captain Volkard. (Admins, please confirm)

My Hands Are Golden, My Heart Is Cold (This is a thread between Will and i, obviously need approval from him)-

1-Alan talks to Will in his Marian persona for the first time. Will recognizes Alan and continues to toy with Alan, who is goofing up and making a total fool of himself.

2-Will leaves to talk to other guests and the like, leaving Alan to feel giddy and like Marian likes him while also feeling like a total screw up and a loser. The starstruck Alan continues to secretly trail Will until he is encounters a troublesome scenario in a nearby alleyway where it looks like a mobster is about to leave his mark on an older woman. Alan reluctantly goes to do his duty as a Military Policeman instead of continuing to follow his crush.

Of Inmates And Inventions-

1-The experiment takes place, and is interrupted only by a few rogue cons, who are handled by the soldiers running the operation. Alan gets to practice his maneouvering in 3DMG and his combat skills while flying. Without killing anyone, of course.

2-Alan continues to chat up with Karl in the security of his room. There, he tells him of all that has happened since they departed, and of his plan to don the identity of the Grayblade.

I agree with Alan for the first part at least.

For Mitsuo's experience however, I will have to go back and read the thread again.
I'll let you guys know later.
