Appearance:Arthur is a short man with a height of 5’0, weighing 180 lbs, possessing little in terms of muscle, and wearing glasses to deal with his extreme nearsightedness. Arthur has messy dirty brown hair, dark brown eyes, and a slightly pointed nose on his rounded face.

Identity:Arthur is the type to be rational and quiet most of the time though if he happens to be angered he will become incredibly impulsive to the point where he almost doesn’t think about what e is saying at all. Arthur is also incredibly stubborn about doing anything that he believes would be wrong. He can be boastful of his accomplishments at times though he always tries to be humble. Arthur is quiet about his past not wanting to relive past experiences instead focusing on looking towards the future and what is to come. Arthur is secretly depressed seeking solace in knowing that he is at least useful on the battlefield. Arthur is always slightly paranoid about exactly what could go wrong carrying around his equipment at all times, this paranoia is partly caused by his pessimism which he attempts to keep secret by using humor, although it can be morbid at times, his attempts at humor are often bad and increase when he is fighting titans in an attempt to not think about everything that could go wrong. Arthur is often incredibly sarcastic and looks as though he doesn’t want to deal with anything that is a waste of time though he can be friendly if you get to know him though this would be rare as he usually doesn’t engage in many social interactions. Arthur usually pulls his hair out without thought as a small side effect of his anxiety caused by his depression.

Backstory:Arthur Curt was a child who enjoyed the peace and quiet of literature born into a family of farmers with a nice comfortable life which gave him much to eat  that he enjoyed for most of his life. This changed however after the fall of Trost district causing Arthur to feel like a difference needed to be made though this feeling was not shared by his family and they encouraged this is the time in which he developed his fear of enclosed spaces which was caused by his feelings of being trapped and he decided that he would rather never feel that feeling of helplessness again and has since developed a fright of it. The more Arthur stayed at the farm the more he noticed he seemed to drift apart from others and eventually he almost had no social interactions with others at all, this led to him becoming extremely antisocial.Arthur also was raised to have a strong sense of justice, believing that one should never lie as it can be harmful to the person being lied too and that one should never lie unless it is beneficial to the ones being lied to and that honesty is one of the best traits to see in a person. Arthur while helping to milk the cows was, one day was bitten by a highly venomous spider and required to be rushed to the hospital in order to counteract the venom so that he would not die, during this time Arthur developed a dislike of having to go to hospitals as he did not like the fact that he was incapacitated due tofaults of his own action of not being careful. Eventually Arthur developed depression knowing about the fact that the titans could breach the walls at any second and kill everyone and destroy everything he knew and loved. Arthur ran away from home at fifteen to join the military,Arthur endured three years of rigorous training avoiding social interaction with anyone and everyone as much he could as to not develop friends which he may lose at any moment, this however does not stop Arthur from making friends as he will become friends with those he find reliable to live through the battles most of the time. Arthur then decided that joining the survey corps would be a good idea because at least he would at least have contributed to society if he happened to die, which he knew would be the most likely outcome, this however does not give Arthur complete solace because he at least wants it to be known for certain that he died.Iit is here that Arthur would spend five years of his life although he was not exactly the best soldier as he possessed below average strength though his trained intellect and above average agility more than make up for it. Arthur began to wonder during his time with the scouts exactly why are we in this world, for what purpose do we exist, and it is this that he wants to find out.

So, the character looks perfectly fine to me, and it's an interesting change of pace to see depression actually mentioned in an app. It usually develops alongside time over here.
